In particular, extreme heat is expected centered on South Gyeongsang, where an extreme heat major alert is in effect. In some parts of South Gyeongsang, daytime highs will rise above 39 degrees. In most regions nationwide, the maximum heat index will climb to around 35 degrees for the time being, so take special care to manage your health.
Morning lows are forecast at 21–28 degrees, and daytime highs at 32–39 degrees. The Korea Meteorological Administration said on the 1st that the country will be mostly clear, with heat waves and tropical nights continuing.
Waves will be 0.5–1.5 meters off the East Sea, 0.5 meters off the West Sea, and 0.5–1.0 meters off the South Sea.
Wave heights on the inner open sea are expected to be 0.5–1.5 meters in the East Sea and 0.5–1.0 meters in the West and South seas.
