Actor Hwang Jung-min's side refuted recent fast-spreading online claims about his private life as groundless..
Agency Sam Company said in an official statement on the 29th, "The person who posted the malicious content about Hwang Jung-min is a suspect in a stalking crime who has continually harassed Hwang Jung-min," and stated accordingly.
It added, "The court imposed temporary measures, including restraining orders, against the suspect on three occasions, and, recognizing the stalking charge, issued a summary order of a 3 million won fine."
The agency also said, "Sam Company plans to take additional legal action against the maliciously edited posts," adding, "We apologize for causing concern over this matter."
Earlier the same day, an online community and social media carried a post by an internet user claiming to have been in a romantic relationship with Hwang Jung-min since 2024, sparking controversy. The poster presented captured mobile messenger conversations and voice call files as evidence, claiming that Hwang Jung-min repeatedly initiated contact and, even while carrying out broadcast schedules, frequently tried to call or demanded meetings.
Meanwhile, despite the back-and-forth over his private life, Hwang Jung-min is expected to carry out his scheduled official activities without disruption. At 6 p.m. that day, he will visit CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall for a stage greeting event for Hope, the film in which he stars.
