Mind & Manual, a company specializing in first aid and safety education, said on the 28th that it will launch a life safety education platform business through the Instructor Academy (MMIA).
The Instructor Academy consists of three tracks by audience and purpose: emergency safety instructors, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) messengers, and in-house trainer partnerships.
First, the emergency safety instructor track targets professionals in emergency and safety fields who hold national licenses, such as nurses and paramedics. After completing the Korea Association of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (KACPR) official curriculum and going through lecture practice and evaluations, they join Mind & Manual's pool of professional instructors and are assigned to schools, daycare centers, and corporations nationwide.
The CPR messengers track is a preparatory and contribution track centered on nursing and paramedic students, and it is open to participants regardless of major. Student participants earn certifications and teaching experience through CPR outreach volunteer work in partnership with the Korea Heart Foundation, and students preparing to become nurses or paramedics can progress to become professional instructors after obtaining their licenses or certifications. It is designed so that any student interested in activities that save lives can practice the value of respect for life in the field starting from school days.
The in-house trainer partnership (in-house trainer development track) is a program for corporations and institutions. It directly develops in-house trainers for client companies and continuously supplies and updates curricula and training materials, helping clients operate standardized safety education in-house while reducing expense.
Mind & Manual cited "standardization" and "proven expertise" as the differentiators of these tracks. The company is a safety education certification body under the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and a specialized institution for children's safety education, and it has developed its own curricula based on its status as an official KACPR training center and its partnership with the Korea Heart Foundation.
In particular, all instructor candidates undergo a coaching-style assessment that proceeds from demonstrations to one-on-one feedback and then to re-demonstrations. This ensures lecture quality is maintained above a certain level.
