Jipyong LLC will work with the Korea Data Center Association to respond to regulations and improve laws and systems for the data center industry.
Jipyong said it signed a "business agreement for the development of the data center industry and improvement of laws and systems" with the Korea Data Center Association at its Grand Central headquarters in Jung District, Seoul, on the 22nd.
Under the agreement, the two organizations will cooperate on: ▲ responding to regulations related to the data center industry and improving laws and systems ▲ joint research and policy recommendations ▲ operating education programs and seminars ▲ responding to civil complaints and lawsuits arising during data center construction ▲ real estate development and financial advisory ▲ identifying joint projects to vitalize the artificial intelligence data center (AIDC) industry ecosystem.
They will also work together to address legal issues related to permits and licenses, power, site selection, environment, and safety that Korea Data Center Association member companies face in building and operating data centers. They also plan to pursue institutional improvements and policy recommendations that reflect industry views.
On June 1, Jipyong launched the "AI-Infra Center," which advises on the overall construction and operation of AI infrastructure, including AIDCs. The center handles legal, institutional, and transaction structure issues across the entire AI infrastructure business, including securing sites and development permits and licenses, local civil complaints, power and water supply, power system impact assessments, project financing (PF), personal information protection and data security, and dispute response.
