A fire broke out at the Coupang 15 logistics center in Hangdong 7-ga, Jemulpogu, Incheon. It is about 7 kilometers from the 32 logistics center in Seoknam-dong, Incheon, where a fire occurred recently.
According to the Incheon Fire Headquarters and others on the 23rd, a report was received at about 6:55 a.m. that a fire had broken out at the logistics facility.
A logistics center worker at the scene witnessed flames shooting up from beneath items stored in a sixth-floor freezer warehouse. After attempting to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher on hand, the worker notified the fire authorities, reports said.
Firefighters who received the report were dispatched to the scene and took follow-up measures. No casualties have been confirmed so far from this fire.
The fire authorities plan to investigate the specific cause of ignition and the extent of the damage as soon as the on-site cleanup is completed.
