Following ISEGYE IDOL and Playv, real musicians who sing live behind the stages of virtual idols active in virtual worlds, such as Be:DN, are joining the Korea Music Performers' Association in succession.
The Korea Music Performers' Association, a nonprofit corporation, said on the 23rd that the actual vocal performers for the five-member virtual male group "Be:DN," which took its first step into the pop scene in May, recently joined as members.
The association explained, "As virtual content grows into a pillar of the popular music market, the rights of the real performers who sing and play behind the characters are also drawing attention."
Earlier, the real voice actors behind the female group "Huntrix" and the male group "Lion Boys," who appear in the Netflix animated film "K-pop Demon Hunters," had already joined the association as members.
The real artists of ISEGYE IDOL and Playv, regarded as leaders of Korea's virtual pop scene, are also currently active as members of the association.
