A man in his 50s was arrested at the scene after firing a nail gun used at construction sites and causing a disturbance in a dwellings area in Sasang District, Busan.
According to the Busan Sasang Police Station on the 22nd, a report was filed at about 9:15 a.m. that day from a dwellings area in Sasang District that "a man is drunk, cursing, and shouting."
Police dispatched to the scene found a man in his 50s causing a disturbance on the second-floor balcony of his home. The man fired a nail gun toward officers trying to restrain him to keep them away, and he was also said to have pointed the nail gun at his own head afterward.
A nail gun is a machine that uses the pressure of strongly compressed air to drive nails into walls and is mainly used at construction sites.
Police arrested the man in the act at about 11 a.m. that day. For safety, a police special operations unit was additionally deployed during the process. Police are checking the specific details of the incident.
