Police launched an investigation after a staff member in his 50s was found dead at an election commission office in Incheon.
According to police on the 21st, A was found collapsed at about 11:10 a.m. the previous day at an election commission office in Incheon. A coworker called 119, but paramedics said the person was already in cardiac arrest when they arrived.
Police said there were no signs of foul play. A note was also found at the scene. Police plan to request an autopsy from the National Forensic Service to determine the exact cause of death.
A was not known to have been investigated over election-related incidents such as a ballot shortage.
