Entertainer Park Na-rae, who is suspected of abusing power by committing assault and other acts against her manager, was sent to prosecutors without detention.
Seoul Gangnam Police Station said on the 10th that Park was sent to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office on charges of aggravated assault and violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection.
This comes seven months after two of Park's former managers filed a complaint in Dec. last year accusing Park of aggravated injury, defamation by stating false facts, and violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection.
Park's former manager claimed that Park instructed managers to handle personal errands and other private requests. The manager also submitted to police a medical certificate diagnosing a two-week recovery, saying, "Park threw a drinking glass at a manager at her home in Aug. 2023 and Aug. 2024, causing injury."
Park's side countered, saying, "There was no such situation (of throwing a drinking glass toward the manager)," and, "There were instances of throwing a glass at the floor, but there was no fact of throwing it at a specific person."
Meanwhile, Gangnam Police Station said it is investigating, among the allegations related to Park, the act of receiving illegal medical procedures from the so-called "injection aunt."
