As the water level of Yeong River, a tributary of the Nakdong River, rose, a flood warning was issued for areas in Mungyeong and Sangju, North Gyeongsang.
The Nakdong River Flood Control Office issued a flood warning at 9:50 a.m. on the 9th for the area around Gimyong-ri, Yeongsun-myeon, Mungyeong, where the national river Yeong River flows. The areas subject to the change in flood advisories and warnings are parts of Mungyeong and Sangju.
A flood advisory was issued for the site at around 7:30 a.m. the same day, but as the rain continued, it was upgraded to a flood warning in about 2 hours and 20 minutes.
The Nakdong River Flood Control Office said, "Areas under the flood warning should prepare for possible damage."
In the Mungyeong area, 113.9 mm of rain was recorded from midnight on the 8th, the previous day, to 8 a.m. the same day.
