On Thursday the 2nd, the Seoul metropolitan area and Gangwon Province are expected to see mostly cloudy skies, while other regions will be mostly overcast.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 1st, morning lows on the 2nd are forecast at 15–22 C, with daytime highs at 24–31 C.
Showers will begin in northern Gangwon in the morning, and from the afternoon through the night, showers are expected in many parts of the country, including Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, Gangwon, the Chungcheong region, eastern North Jeolla, North Gyeongsang, and the northwestern part of South Gyeongsang. Jeju Island is expected to see rain from morning to midday. Gusty winds, thunder and lightning, and hail may accompany the rain, so caution is advised.
Expected rainfall is 5–60 mm for Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggi; 5–60 mm for the inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon; around 5 mm on the central and northern East Sea coast of Gangwon; 5–40 mm for Daejeon, Sejong, eastern South Chungcheong and North Chungcheong; 5–40 mm for eastern North Jeolla; 5–40 mm for Daegu and the central and northern inland and the southwestern inland of North Gyeongsang; 5–20 mm for the northwestern inland of South Gyeongsang; and less than 5 mm for Jeju Island.
Waves are expected at 0.5–2.0 meters off the East Sea, 0.5 meters off the West Sea, and 0.5–1.0 meters off the South Sea.
Wave heights over the inner offshore waters (the offshore area within about 200 km of the coastline) are expected at 0.5–3.0 meters in the East Sea, 0.5–1.0 meters in the West Sea, and 0.5–2.0 meters in the South Sea.
