BAE, KIM & LEE LLC said on the 1st that it has adopted the global legal artificial intelligence (AI) platform Harvey.
BAE, KIM & LEE LLC said it chose Harvey because using it for routine tasks such as legal research, document drafting and multilingual material analysis confirmed its high utility and work efficiency.
Based on these verification results, BAE, KIM & LEE LLC decided to expand its operation as a work platform used by all members, rather than limiting it to certain departments or specific tasks. It said this is the first time among domestic law firms that all members have built a global legal AI platform into everyday work infrastructure.
BAE, KIM & LEE LLC said the adoption is an investment to enhance client value. The firm said, "In areas where BAE, KIM & LEE LLC has strengths, such as cross-border mergers and acquisitions (M&A), international disputes and global regulatory response, we will be able to analyze large volumes of multilingual documents and each country's statutes and precedents more quickly and systematically," adding, "Clients will receive faster and more sophisticated advice on complex legal issues."
BAE, KIM & LEE LLC said it is also focusing on ensuring responsibility and trust in the use of AI. It will prevent input data from being used to train AI models, strictly manage the entry of sensitive information, and enforce cross-review procedures by attorneys for outputs. AI is only a tool that assists attorneys' professional judgment, and attorneys bear the final legal judgment and responsibility.
