The Ministry of the Interior and Safety said on the 1st that it is extending the deadline for local government tax payments to the 3rd. This is because on- and offline processing has been delayed since 9 a.m. due to a disruption in the local government tax system.
As of this morning, due to the disruption in the local government tax system, it is not possible to file, apply, pay, or obtain certificates for local government taxes through local government service counters, unmanned civil service machines, Wetax, or Government24.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety (MOIS) said it extended the payment deadline for local government taxes, including motor vehicle taxes, to the 3rd, adding that no disadvantages such as additional tax will occur if payment is made within the extended period.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety (MOIS) also said it will extend to the 3rd the filing and payment deadlines for all local government tax items, including acquisition tax, that fall due between on the 26th of last month and on the 2nd of this month.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety (MOIS) said issuance of local government tax payment confirmations needed for real estate registration will be temporarily restricted, and asked the public to file and pay after the system is restored if possible.
It added that if urgent processing is needed, people can visit the local tax office in person to file and submit by hand.
