According to a Korea Meteorological Administration forecast on the 29th, on Tuesday the 30th, showers will fall in many places nationwide and daytime highs will rise above 30 degrees mainly in inland areas. The central region will be mostly cloudy at times, and the southern region will be mostly cloudy before turning overcast from the afternoon. Jeju Island is expected to be mostly overcast.
Showers will fall from the afternoon to evening in inland Seoul and Gyeonggi, inland and mountainous Gangwon, inland Chungcheong, eastern inland Jeolla, and northern inland and southwestern inland North Gyeongsang. On Jeju Island, some places may get raindrops of less than 0.1 mm from the late dawn to late afternoon.
Expected rainfall is 5–40 mm in inland Seoul and Gyeonggi, inland and mountainous Gangwon, inland Daejeon, Sejong and South Chungcheong, North Chungcheong, and eastern North Jeolla. Eastern inland South Jeolla and northern inland and southwestern inland North Gyeongsang are forecast for 5–20 mm.
The Korea Meteorological Administration said gusty winds, thunder and lightning, and even hail are possible in areas with showers, urging caution. Some places may see heavy showers of around 20 mm per hour, so take care in managing facilities and crops.
Morning lows on the 30th are forecast at 16–22 degrees, with daytime highs at 24–33 degrees. Seoul's daytime high will climb to 33 degrees. Daejeon, Sejong and Cheongju will also reach 33 degrees; Chuncheon and Daegu 32 degrees; and Gwangju and Jeonju 31 degrees. The Korea Meteorological Administration projected that, for the time being, daytime highs will rise above 30 degrees mainly in inland areas nationwide, with maximum heat indices reaching around 33 degrees mainly in the central inland.
From dawn to morning, some places in Incheon and the Gyeonggi West Coast, South Chungcheong, the Jeolla region, and western inland South Gyeongsang will see fog reducing visibility to under 1 kilometer. Fog may be thicker on coastal bridges and roads near rivers and lakes, so use caution for traffic safety.
Waves will run 0.5–1.0 meters in the East and South Sea coastal waters and 0.5 meters in the West Sea coastal waters. In the outer nearshore waters, wave heights are expected at 0.5–1.5 meters in the East and South Sea, and 0.5–1.0 meters in the West Sea.
