On Friday the 26th, showers are expected in many places nationwide. Some areas may see gusty winds with thunder and lightning, and there is also a chance of hail, so caution is needed.
The central region will be mostly cloudy and gradually clear from the morning, while the southern region and Jeju Island will be mostly cloudy at times.
In the afternoon, showers of 5 to 20 mm are forecast mainly for inland and mountainous areas of southern Gangwon, northern North Chungcheong, inland and northeastern mountainous areas of Daegu and North Gyeongsang, and central and eastern inland areas of Ulsan and South Gyeongsang.
In particular, rain will continue over inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon until dawn, with some places seeing heavy rainfall of around 80 mm.
The Korea Meteorological Administration said that in areas with showers, thunder and lightning will occur along with strong gusts, and hail may fall in some areas, urging extra caution for facility management and safety.
Morning lows are forecast at 15 to 20 degrees, and daytime highs at 23 to 30 degrees. It will be somewhat hot as daytime temperatures in most areas nationwide rise to around 30 degrees.
Waves will be 0.5 to 2.5 meters off the East Sea, 0.5 to 1.0 meters off the West Sea, and 0.5 to 2.0 meters off the South Sea. Offshore wave heights are expected to reach up to 3.5 meters in the East Sea, up to 1.5 meters in the West Sea, and up to 2.5 meters in the South Sea.
Fine dust concentrations will be at a "good" level in all regions. Ozone concentrations are expected to be "bad" in southern Gyeonggi, South Chungcheong, South Jeolla, and South Gyeongsang, and "moderate" in other regions.
