Two U.S. Forces Korea service members accused of assaulting a Korean at a club in Mapo District, Seoul, have been indicted without detention.
According to legal sources, the Criminal Division 1 of the Seoul Western District Prosecutors Office indicted two U.S. Forces Korea service members on the 16th on charges of joint injury.
They are accused of getting into a dispute with a Korean man around 3 a.m. on Mar. 21 at a club near Hongdae in Mapo District, then choking him and repeatedly hitting his face and other areas.
The Korean victim was found to have suffered injuries including a broken nose.
U.S. Forces Korea service member A was arrested at the scene in the act, but B fled by taxi. Police identified B through closed-circuit (CC) TV analysis and other methods and booked B as an accomplice on Apr. 16.
