A mother and son struggling with financial hardship were found dead in Eumseong, North Chungcheong Province, and police are investigating.
According to the Eumseong Police Station in North Chungcheong Province on the 22nd, police found a woman in her 50s, identified as A, and a man in his 20s, identified as B, at an apartment in Eumseong County on the morning of the 20th and are conducting an investigation.
Police responded to a report from A's eldest son that his mother and younger sibling could not be reached and found the scene. Police confirmed that B is A's second son and secured a note at the scene that said, "It is financially difficult."
With no signs of external injury or other criminal suspicion, police presume they made an extreme choice and are looking into the cause of death and related circumstances.
