After the United States and Iran signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to end the war, two of our ships exited the Strait of Hormuz for the first time.
The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries said on the 22nd that "two ships operated by our shipping company that had been waiting on the inner side of the Strait of Hormuz have passed through the strait and are sailing normally."
According to the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF), the ships have not yet fully cleared the danger zone. The MOF said, "Please understand that we cannot disclose specific information such as ship transit details, the shipping company, and the ship name, taking into account the safety of the crew and the position of the shipping company."
The ships that came out of the Strait of Hormuz this time are indeed operated by a Korean shipping company, but no Korean crew members are said to be on board. The destination is not Korea.
The number of Korean ships waiting on the inner side of the Strait of Hormuz has decreased to 22.
