Starship Entertainment said on the 18th that it is taking legal action after content disparaging IVE member Jang Won-young spread online.
That day, Starship stated accordingly through a post on IVE's official social media (SNS), saying, "We are continuously monitoring individuals who produce and distribute malicious content targeting Jang Won-young."
According to Starship, police are conducting a related investigation and are working to identify suspects and secure evidence.
In addition, procedures are underway to issue warrants to collect information on users of domestic platforms such as Naver Blog and DC Inside, and procedures are also in progress to obtain user information from overseas platforms such as X (Twitter).
Starship said, "For cases confirmed as criminal acts, we are pursuing the strongest possible legal action, including criminal and civil lawsuits," adding that this "includes defamation, insults, sexual harassment, dissemination of false information, and invasion of privacy targeting the artist."
