Police are investigating after a post threatening a stabbing was uploaded to an online community used by Sungkyunkwan University students.
On the 17th, the Hwaseong Dongtan Police Station in Gyeonggi said it received a report at about 2:14 a.m. that day regarding a post uploaded to Sungkyunkwan University Everytime.
The post was written at about 1:35 a.m. that day and said, in effect, "Assemble at the athletic field at 12 tomorrow. I will carry out a stabbing targeting students from the Honam region, among others."
Immediately after receiving the report, the Hwaseong Dongtan Police Station sent a request for cooperation to the police station with jurisdiction over Sungkyunkwan University, and it was reported that officers were deployed to the Seoul and Suwon Sungkyunkwan University campuses.
