Law firm Jipyong said on the 15th that it has hired attorney Park Seong-im, a former member of the Personal Information Protection Commission (first bar exam cohort).
Park worked for more than 10 years at regulatory agencies in the personal data and telecommunications fields, including the Personal Information Protection Commission and the Korea Communications Commission.
Afterward, from the first year the Personal Information Protection Commission was elevated to a central administrative agency and launched, Park joined and for five years handled revisions to the Personal Information Protection Act, subordinate statutes, and the drafting and revision of guidance.
Based on broad ICT legal expertise accumulated in the personal data field and elsewhere, Park will join Jipyong's IP·IT Group and the personal information·data·AI team to provide specialized legal services in personal information, privacy, digital regulation, and telecommunications.
