On Friday the 12th, most of Korea will be mostly clear, with midday highs rising to around 30 degrees Celsius, continuing early-summer heat. In inland and mountainous areas of central and northern Gangwon, there will be places that see brief showers in the afternoon.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 11th, on the 12th the morning low will be 12–18 degrees and the daytime high will be 26–30 degrees, similar to or slightly higher than the average (low 15–18 degrees, high 23–28 degrees).
In particular, centered on the central inland and southern regions, daytime temperatures will rise to around 30 degrees, making it hot. Forecast daytime highs in major cities are: ▲ Seoul 28 degrees ▲ Chuncheon 28 degrees ▲ Gangneung 29 degrees ▲ Daejeon 29 degrees ▲ Jeonju 29 degrees ▲ Gwangju 29 degrees ▲ Daegu 30 degrees ▲ Busan 27 degrees ▲ Jeju 25 degrees.
In inland and mountainous areas of central and northern Gangwon, some places will see 5–10 millimeters of showers between noon and evening. In areas with showers, there is a possibility of thunder and lightning with gusty winds and hail, so caution is advised for facility management and traffic safety.
Morning lows are forecast at 16 degrees in Seoul, 17 degrees in Incheon, 14 degrees in Chuncheon, 18 degrees in Gangneung, 15 degrees in Daejeon, 16 degrees in Gwangju, 16 degrees in Daegu, 17 degrees in Busan, and 18 degrees in Jeju.
Fine dust levels nationwide will range from "good" to "moderate."
Waves will be 0.5–1.0 meters off the east and south coasts and 0.5 meters off the west coast, while offshore (open sea within about 200 kilometers of the coastline) wave heights are expected to be 0.5–1.5 meters in the East and South Seas and 0.5–1.0 meters in the West Sea.
