A man in his 40s who killed a supermarket owner in his 70s, stole cash, and fled has been arrested by police.
Incheon Michuhol Police Station on the 9th arrested a Chinese national, identified as A, on suspicion of robbery-murder.
On the afternoon of the same day, Park Young-gi, warrant judge at the Incheon District Court, conducted a pre-arrest interrogation of A (substantive warrant review) and issued an arrest warrant, saying there was a risk of flight.
Around 9 p.m. on the 6th, A allegedly beat to death the owner, a man in his 70s identified as B, with a blunt object at a supermarket in Dohwa-dong, Michuhol District, Incheon, stole 700,000 won in cash, and fled. B's supermarket is a small store that sells basic daily necessities. At the time of the crime, B was reportedly alone minding the store.
A was apprehended the day after the crime and told police in questioning that he committed the crime for money. The stolen cash was found to have been entirely spent.
