Shin & Kim LLC (Managing Partner Oh Jong-han) will hold a seminar to examine corporations' legislative, regulatory, and reputation risks after the local elections. The move comes as the policy environment shifts with the start of the second year of the Lee Jae-myung administration, the launch of the latter half of the 22nd National Assembly, and changes in local administration following the ninth local elections.
Shin & Kim said it will host the "Shin & Kim Strategy & Insight Forum" at 2 p.m. on the 10th in the seminar room on the 24th floor of Gran Seoul, Sejong. The event will also be streamed online.
The forum will begin with remarks by Managing Partner Moon Moo-il and proceed in three sessions—National Assembly, government, and media. Presenters from Shin & Kim's Legislative Strategy Advisory Group will share integrated response plans that span both legal and non-legal institutional sectors.
In the first session, Senior Advisor Jang Dae-seop will give a presentation on "The legislative landscape of the latter half of the National Assembly and impacts on corporations." Jang built about 26 years of hands-on legislative experience at the National Assembly, including as Deputy Minister for Planning and Coordination at the National Assembly Secretariat and as chief expert member of the House Steering Committee.
In the second session, Senior Advisor Nam Hyeong-gi, a former Second Vice Minister at the Office for Government Policy Coordination, will present on "Corporate responses in a regulatory transition." Nam plans to share strategies to resolve corporations' regulatory risks.
Lastly, Senior Expert Member Kim Geon-hun will present on "Media frame analysis and reputation risk management strategies." Kim plans to share insights on corporations' external communications and responses to media risks.
Managing Partner Oh Jong-han said, "Recently, the corporate environment has seen external uncertainties intersect with changes in the domestic policy environment," adding, "We hope this forum helps corporations grasp major policy shifts and regulatory trends in industry, labor, digital, taxes, and safety, and respond strategically."
