At about 8 a.m. on the 30th, three members of a family were found dead at a single-family house in Hwabuk-myeon, Sangju, North Gyeongsang.
According to police and fire authorities, the dead were identified as a couple in their 50s and their young son. An acquaintance who came to the scene found them and called it in.
The acquaintance reportedly went to the dwellings after receiving a pessimistic text message from the deceased couple and confirmed at the scene that the family was dead.
Police are conducting a related investigation to determine the exact cause and circumstances of death.
