In Nonsan, South Chungcheong, a man in his 50s and his older brother and sister-in-law were found dead separately, and police have launched an investigation. Police are focusing on the possibility that the incident occurred after a financial dispute between the brothers.
According to the Nonsan Police Station in South Chungcheong on the 29th, police received a missing-person report for A, a man in his 50s, at around 7 p.m. the previous day and began a search. They later found A dead on a paddy ridge in Yeonmu-eup, Nonsan. A pesticide container was also found at the scene.
While questioning A's wife, who made the initial missing-person report, about A's movements, police searched a storage room at a dwellings in Yeonmu-eup and there additionally found the bodies of A's older brother, B (50s), and sister-in-law, C (50s).
The investigation found that A had been in conflict with the older brother and sister-in-law over money.
To determine the exact cause of death and motive, police requested an autopsy from the National Forensic Service. They are also conducting additional questioning of the bereaved family and others.
