Law firm Sejong LLC (managing partner Oh Jong-han) said it has hired former Defense Agency for Technology and Quality (DTaQ) chief Lee Chang-hee as an adviser.
The adviser was commissioned as a member of the 40th class of the Korea Military Academy and served in the military for about 34 years. After serving as an Army infantry officer, staff officer at a frontline unit, and battalion commander, the adviser was selected as a specialist officer in the force improvement field and held posts related to acquisition policy and force improvement at the Ministry of National Defense, Army Headquarters, and the Defense Acquisition Program Administration.
In 2004, the adviser served as secretary of the defense acquisition system improvement task force under the Prime Minister's Office, taking part in establishing measures to improve the defense acquisition system, revising the Government Organization Act, and enacting the Defense Acquisition Program Act. The adviser was also involved in the establishment of the Defense Acquisition Program Administration and, after its launch, served as chief of staff, deputy head of the Strategic Innovation Planning Group, and head of the Acquisition Policy Division.
After leaving active duty, the adviser took part in formulating defense reform policy as vice chair and secretary of the Defense Reform Committee. The adviser then served as the fifth head of the Defense Agency for Technology and Quality (DTaQ), leading technology planning, quality control, the overhaul of systems supporting defense exports, and the establishment of the Korea Research Institute for defense Technology planning and advancement (KRIT).
Sejong plans to strengthen its advisory capabilities in the defense industry and defense fields with the addition of the adviser. The adviser is expected to provide counsel on projects to improve force capabilities, including defense policy, program management, technology development, force integration, and defense exports, as part of Sejong's defense industry and defense team.

Sejong's defense industry and defense team includes attorney Kim Young-hoon, who served as the inaugural head of the Air Force Prosecutors' Office; adviser Lee Jae-ik in the fields of defense finance and procurement; adviser Kim Jung-soo, who served as chief of naval operations; and adviser Kang Jung-hee, who served as head of the aviation and technology programs bureau at the Defense Acquisition Program Administration. Those with experience as military prosecutors and judges and experience at the Ministry of National Defense and the Defense Acquisition Program Administration are also providing advisory services in the defense industry and defense fields.
