A man in his 40s accused of breaking into actor Kim Gyu-ri's home, demanding money and valuables, and injuring Kim and others has been arrested and detained.
On the 22nd, Lee Jong-rok, Director General Judge in charge of warrants at the Seoul Central District Court, issued an arrest warrant for a suspect identified as A, accused of robbery causing injury, after holding a pre-arrest suspect interrogation (substantive warrant review), saying there was a risk of flight.
At about 9 p.m. on the 20th, A is accused of breaking into a dwellings in Bukchon Hanok Village in Jongno District, Seoul, where Kim lives, demanding money and valuables, and assaulting. In the process, another woman who was with Kim was found to have been injured.
It was reported that Kim and others who were inside the house at the time slipped out when A's vigilance lapsed and sought help from a passerby. Kim was reported to have suffered injuries including a fracture and bruises.
A was reported to have turned themself in to police after the crime.
