MC MONG said, "The drama was criticized for a history distortion controversy, so why should IU bow her head?" He added, "The people who should really be held responsible are in the back, and only entertainers with recognizable faces become lightning rods for criticism." He went on, "Korea demands excessively high morality from entertainers."

MC MONG also mentioned by name some TV network producers during the broadcast and claimed the process of raising allegations against him was unfair. He said, "They are making me out to be a criminal with unverified tips."
