A man in his 40s who broke into actor Kim Gyu-ri's home in Seoul and tried to steal valuables was caught by police. The man fled right after the crime and turned himself in to police about three hours later.
According to Channel A on the 21st, a man in his 40s, identified as A, was arrested on suspicion of robbery causing injury for breaking into Kim Gyu-ri's home in Bukchon Hanok Village in Jongno District, Seoul, around 9 p.m. on the 20th and committing a robbery.
Another woman living with Kim Gyu-ri discovered the crime and was reportedly injured in the process. The initial report is said to have stated, "A robber is trying to tie me up."
After the crime, A fled and then turned himself in to police in Hwagok-dong, Gangseo District, Seoul, about three hours later.
Police are investigating A to determine whether the crime was premeditated and other details of the case, and are considering seeking an arrest warrant.
Kim Gyu-ri debuted in 1997 as a model for the magazine "Figaro." In 2009, she changed her name from her birth name, Kim Min-seon, to her current stage name and has been working as an actor.
