Authorities are searching for an elementary school student who went missing after visiting Juwangsan National Park in Cheongsong County, North Gyeongsang.
According to the North Gyeongsang Fire Headquarters on the 11th, a sixth-grade student, identified as A, disappeared after setting out to hike toward Jubong at Juwangsan National Park the previous day.
On the day of the incident, A left Daegu with family and visited a temple in Juwangsan National Park, then set out alone to hike to Jubong and lost contact. A's parents reported to fire authorities at about 5:53 p.m. the previous day after time passed and the child did not return from the hike.
Authorities are continuing the search, mobilizing about 100 personnel and one helicopter.
A is about 145 centimeters tall with a slim build and was reportedly wearing a Samsung Lions uniform at the time. Authorities asked, "If you find A, please report to 112 or 119."
