On Monday the 11th, it will gradually become cloudy starting in the central region, with rain falling in places nationwide. In some areas, there will be thunder and lightning and strong winds.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 10th, rain will begin in the central region on the morning of the 11th, and there will be places with rain in northern North Jeolla and central and northern North Gyeongsang in the afternoon. The rain will expand to most areas nationwide before dawn on the 12th, then mostly taper off in the afternoon.
As a trough accompanied by cold air around minus 20 degrees Celsius in the upper atmosphere passes while warm southwesterly winds flow in at lower levels, atmospheric instability will intensify, and some areas will see gusts and thunder and lightning along with the rain.
Expected rainfall for the 11th–12th is 5–10 mm in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi and the five West Sea islands; 5–20 mm in inland and mountainous Gangwon; 5–30 mm in Daejeon, Sejong, South Chungcheong and North Chungcheong; 5–30 mm in Gwangju, South Jeolla and North Jeolla; 5–30 mm in Busan, Ulsan, South Gyeongsang, Daegu and North Gyeongsang; and 5–10 mm on Jeju Island.
On the 11th, the morning low is forecast at 8–16 C, with the daytime high at 19–26 C. This is similar to or slightly higher than the average (low 9–14 C, high 19–24 C).
