Singer Yoo Seung-jun will speak directly with fans on YouTube.
On the 2nd, a video titled "I really fell apart back then. I'm telling everything now. Yoo Seung-jun Q&A begins" was posted on the YouTube channel "Yoo Seung-jun."
In the video, Yoo Seung-jun said, "I'm doing very well thanks to you," and added, "I'm relieved and grateful to have a space where I can communicate with you." He went on, "Many other entertainers do this, but I believe I can share my life more sincerely and honestly than anyone else, just as it is," and said he would start a Q&A series.
He also indicated he would not limit the topics of questions. Yoo Seung-jun said, "Concerns you can't tell anyone, small stories, even light questions are fine," and added, "I hope this becomes a time to share and talk together." He also said, "Questions about me, misunderstandings or rumors, and questions related to my issues like 'Why didn't you go to the military?' are fine," adding, "There's nothing I can't talk about anymore."
Yoo Seung-jun debuted in 1997 with "Scissors" and had hits such as "Na Na Na" and "Passion," working in Korea. But in 2002, as he was about to enlist, he obtained U.S. citizenship and became embroiled in controversy over draft evasion, and afterward he was banned from entering the country by the Ministry of Justice.
Since then, Yoo Seung-jun has been in a legal dispute with the government over the issuance of an overseas Korean (F-4) visa. He won twice at the Supreme Court, but the LA Consulate General again refused to issue the visa, and the appeal in the third lawsuit seeking to overturn the latest visa denial is underway.
