Sunday the 3rd will be mostly cloudy nationwide with rain. Rain is expected in most areas across the country, including Seoul and the greater capital area, Gangwon, North Chungcheong, South Jeolla, and South Gyeongsang, and in some areas it will continue through the daytime on the 4th. In the mountainous areas of Gangwon, rain or snow is expected.
In the central region and North Jeolla, some places will see the rain stop from late afternoon into the night.
Expected precipitation: Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi 5–30 mm; the five West Sea islands 5–20 mm; Gangwon Province 10–40 mm; North Chungcheong 10–40 mm; Daejeon, Sejong, and South Chungcheong 5–30 mm; Gwangju, South Jeolla, and North Jeolla 5–30 mm. The south coast of South Jeolla 10–40 mm; Busan and the south coast of South Gyeongsang 10–40 mm; Ulsan, inland South Gyeongsang, Daegu, and North Gyeongsang 5–30 mm. Northern Jeju 5–20 mm; areas of Jeju other than the north 10–40 mm; some places in the southern mid-mountain areas and highlands will see more than 60 mm of rain.
Through the afternoon along the south coast and Jeju, and from night into the morning of the 4th in the central region, some areas will see thunder and lightning with gusty winds.
Temperatures will remain below seasonal norms for the time being. As of 5 a.m. that day, temperatures in major areas were Seoul 12.8 C, Incheon 12.7 C, Suwon 12.3 C, Chuncheon 12.8 C, Gangneung 14.0 C, Cheongju 13.6 C, Daejeon 12.9 C, Jeonju 12.5 C, Gwangju 12.9 C, Jeju 15.3 C, Daegu 13.8 C, Busan 13.8 C, Ulsan 14.1 C, and Changwon 12.6 C. The daytime high is forecast at 14–19 C.
At sea, winds will be strong and waves will be high. Waves will run 0.5–2.5 meters off the east and south coasts and 0.5–2.0 meters off the west coast. Offshore wave heights are expected at 0.5–3.5 meters in the East and West Seas and 1.0–3.5 meters in the South Sea.
