A person in his 40s, A, was arrested by police after an incident in which A wielded a weapon against former partner B at a department store in downtown Daejeon.
The Dunsan Police Station in Daejeon said on the 30th that A was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder and is under investigation.
According to police, around 5:55 p.m. that day, A is suspected of wielding a weapon at B, a woman in her 20s, at a department store in Dunsan-dong, Seo-gu, Daejeon. Police who were dispatched after a report immediately subdued A at the scene and made an emergency arrest.
The victim, B, sustained injuries to an arm and a leg and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, and was reported to be in a condition that is not life-threatening.
