The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) said on the 28th that the National Human Rights Education Institute opened in Yongin, Gyeonggi.
The National Human Rights Education Institute provides online and offline human rights education and trains human rights education experts. It is equipped with learning spaces such as various-sized classrooms, including a lecture room (around 30 seats), a medium lecture room (around 60 seats), and a large lecture room (around 100 seats), as well as a remote education room and a discussion room.
The institute also includes a human rights exhibition hall featuring human rights-related exhibits, videos, and digital content, along with a participatory education space.
Ahn Chang-ho, chair of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), said at the opening ceremony that day, "The National Human Rights Education Institute is not simply a place to deliver knowledge, but a space of change where we learn each other's dignity and put human rights into practice," adding, "In line with the slogan 'Plant human rights, open the future,' I hope the National Human Rights Education Institute will plant the seeds of human rights throughout our society and become a signpost toward a better future."
