Singer-actor Ok Taecyeon (38) will marry his longtime partner at a location in Seoul on the 24th.
According to the music industry, at the wedding that day, 2PM, the group Ok Taecyeon belongs to, will sing a congratulatory song, and member Hwang Chansung will serve as emcee. As the bride is not a celebrity, agency Fiftyone K did not disclose information about the ceremony or the bride.
Ok Taecyeon revealed his marriage plans in a handwritten letter in Nov. last year. At the time, Ok said, "I promised to spend the rest of my life with someone who has understood and trusted me for a long time," and noted, "We plan to be a steadfast presence for each other and walk together through the life ahead."
At the KBS Drama Awards in Dec. last year, after winning best actor in a miniseries for "My Man's First Night," Ok Taecyeon mentioned a name presumed to be the bride during his acceptance speech, saying, "I love you, Ji-hye."
Ok Taecyeon debuted with 2PM in 2008 and began acting in 2010 with the KBS 2TV drama "Cinderella's Sister." Since then, Ok has worked both as a singer and an actor. 2PM will take the stage for its 15th anniversary concert of its local debut at Tokyo Dome in Japan on the 9th–10th of next month.
