As the KOSPI recovered to its level before the Iran war and hit a record high, singer Mina drew attention by revealing her stock holdings.
On the 21st, Mina posted on her Instagram story, "Wow~ I own six of these, and even the ones I bought at the peak have all recovered," sharing a capture of stocks that were rising intraday. The photo Mina shared included seven KOSPI large-cap stocks and "KODEX Leverage."
As of the time the post went up, all of these stocks were on the rise. In particular, Daewoo Engineering & Construction jumped more than 20%, while Samsung SDI, GS Engineering & Construction, and Samsung Electro-Mechanics each surged more than 10%.
The stock accounts of the Mina–Ryu Philip couple had not been doing well until recently. Mina appeared on the MBN variety show "Gaboja GO," aired in Nov. 2024, and, regarding the couple's asset management, said, "From now on I'll have to manage it. When income keeps coming in, (my husband) invests. We lost money on stocks and coins, and the money we lent out is in the hundreds of millions of won," she lamented.
At the time, the KOSPI was moving sideways around the 2,500 level. Meanwhile, on the 23rd, the KOSPI was at 2,636.0, down slightly from the previous day.
