A video showing the current status of Nukgu, the wolf that escaped from the O-World zoo in Daejeon and returned after nine days, has been released.
On the 20th, O-World posted a video on social media (SNS) showing Nukgu eating. According to O-World, the ration totaled 1.16 kilograms, including ground beef and raw chicken, up 180 grams from the day before.
In the video, Nukgu did not rush in even with the food in front, but looked around and approached cautiously. Even after taking the food in its mouth, it lifted its head to check the surroundings. With ears pricked, Nukgu reacted to small movements and did not easily let down its guard.
Internet users who watched the video said, "It's heartbreaking to see it stay on alert, bracing its hind legs even while eating," "I hope the environment where Nukgu lives improves. The concrete floor and rusty bars are so distressing," and "It's so upsetting to see it still too scared to even eat comfortably."
Nukgu escaped the zoo on the 8th and was captured on the 17th. O-World said Nukgu is gradually regaining condition. The amount it eats is also steadily increasing.
O-World asked for "warm support so that Nukgu, who is recovering little by little, can meet you again in good health."
