It was confirmed on the 20th that former People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon has joined a new law firm as an attorney.
According to legal sources, the former leader recently joined the law firm Daham in Samseong-dong, Gangnam District, Seoul, as an attorney. The former leader was said to have registered as a lawyer with the Korean Bar Association in July last year. Daham opened early last month.
After stepping down as justice minister in December 2023, the former leader left the legal field as he took the role of emergency committee chair of the People Power Party. He was then elected party leader of the People Power Party in July 2024, continued his path in politics, and resigned as party leader on Dec. 16 of the same year.
Meanwhile, the former leader recently secured a home in the Buk-gap district of Busan and is preparing to run in a by-election. The Buk-gap constituency will hold a by-election on June 3, the same day as the local elections, if incumbent Democratic Party of Korea lawmaker Chun Jae-soo resigns his seat by the 30th to run for Busan mayor.
