The National Fire Agency said on the 19th that it will run a "public proposal channel" to fix abnormal practices, unreasonable systems, and entrenched illegal or expedient acts. The program runs through the 30th.
Anyone can freely submit opinions related to fire service policy or risk factors on the "Fire Policy Tok Tok" board on the National Fire Agency website or by email (hojung1551@korea.kr). There is no set format, and people can submit opinions anonymously without logging in.
The National Fire Agency said a "fire safety innovation task force" will review the submissions and reflect them when formulating policy. Outstanding contributors will receive modest awards.
National Fire Agency Commissioner Kim Seung-ryong said, "The real voices from the field and the public's fresh ideas are the most powerful driving force to innovate the fire service and set the basics of national safety right," adding, "We will systematically manage the proposals identified this time as fire safety innovation tasks and do our best to deliver improvements the public can feel."
