Police sought an arrest warrant for the older brother of a well-known girl group member, who was arrested on suspicion of molesting a female internet broadcast host (BJ), but prosecutors rejected it.
On the 18th, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors Office decided not to file in court the warrant that police applied for the previous day to detain Namsung A.
Prosecutors were said to have determined that the allegations were insufficiently substantiated.
A was arrested in the act on the evening of the 14th on suspicion of attempting inappropriate physical contact after drinking with the victim at a restaurant in Gangnam District and taking the victim to A's home. A was reportedly told to have purchased a "meal date voucher" from the victim two days before the alleged offense.
