A drone video showing "Neukgu," the wolf that escaped from the Daejeon O-World safari, sleeping in the bushes has been released.
According to Daejeon City and the Daejeon Fire Headquarters on the 16th, Neukgu was spotted on the 14th near Musudong in Jung-gu, Daejeon.
Neukgu, captured by a regular camera and a thermal imaging camera mounted on a drone, had buried its body in a pile of fallen leaves and was sleeping when it was startled by the drone's noise and rose to its feet. It was also seen looking around and then moving back to where it had been lying.
The search team tried to capture Neukgu by targeting its sleeping hours, but it was reported they would face difficulties because it reacts quickly even to small sounds.
Neukgu escaped on the morning of the 8th by digging under the barbed-wire fence at the O-World safari. It has been spotted several times since, but has not yet been captured.
There were concerns that, given Neukgu's lack of experience in the wild and hunting ability, it might not have been eating properly, but Neukgu showed signs of good health, including leaping over a 3–4-meter retaining wall while on the run.
