At a middle school in Gwangju Metropolitan City, a student shoved a homeroom teacher to the ground, causing a concussion.
According to the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education on the 15th, on the 27th of last month at a middle school in Gwangju, student A pushed teacher B to the ground.
A and B got into a scuffle in the teachers' office during a break while B was providing student guidance. A argued with B and showed aggressive behavior, such as swinging objects. When teacher B tried to stop it, A resisted and shoved B to the ground.
B, who was pushed and fell, hit the head on the edge of a desk. B then lost consciousness and reportedly showed convulsions.
B was taken to a hospital and diagnosed with a concussion and is now recovering at home.
The school referred A to the teachers' rights protection committee, and the office of education is supporting B's recovery by granting special leave and official sick leave.
