Shin & Kim LLC (led by managing partner Oh Jong-han) said on the 15th it hired adviser Lee Chung-yeon, who served as Deputy Head of the KOSDAQ Market Division at the Korea Exchange (KRX), and adviser Lee Dong-chul, a former vice chairman of KB Financial Group, to bolster its competitiveness in capital markets and finance.
Adviser Lee Chung-yeon joined the Korea Securities Dealers Association (now the Korea Financial Investment Association) in 1995 and worked at the Korea Exchange (KRX) for about 30 years. Lee also handled initial public offering (IPO) reviews from the stage when the preliminary listing review system was taking hold. Lee later oversaw substantive reviews of listing eligibility, handling market soundness tasks such as maintaining or delisting corporations. Since 2024, Lee has worked as Deputy Minister of the KOSDAQ Market Division, covering overall market operations including listings, disclosures, and post-listing management.
Lee also served as a Commissioner on the Korea Exchange (KRX) Listing Committee, Corporations Review Committee, and Disclosure Committee. Lee has experience participating in key decision-making processes in the capital market, ranging from preliminary listing reviews and disclosure sanctions to delisting decisions.
Adviser Lee Dong-chul served as vice chairman of KB Financial Group. Lee previously held roles including head of the KB Kookmin Bank New York branch, head of strategic planning, and head of the holding company establishment task force, and later served as executive vice president for management planning at KB Life Insurance, executive vice president and chief strategy officer at KB Financial Group, and president and CEO of KB Kookmin Card.
While at KB Financial Group, Lee led major mergers and acquisitions (M&A), including the merger of KB Kookmin Bank and Housing Bank, the acquisition of Indonesia's BII Bank, and the acquisition of Hyundai Securities. Lee also led the group's growth strategies in insurance, information technology (IT), digital, and global businesses.
Based on experience in financial institution management and strategy execution, Lee plans to provide advice in various areas, including responses to financial regulation, financial institution management strategies and restructuring, and financial transaction and investment.

Shin & Kim's financial regulation group consists of about 50 experts centered on attorney Jeong Seong-gu (Judicial Research and Training Institute class 25). Many former Korea Exchange (KRX) officials are affiliated, including former KRX chairman Jung Ji-won and adviser Lee Yong-guk, who served as head of the listing review team and Deputy Minister of the Stock Market Division.
