A wild boar appeared in the middle of downtown Sejong, causing a commotion.
On the 15th, according to Sejong City, at 7 a.m. a wild boar broke a window and entered the first floor of the Korea Development Institute (KDI). Some early arrivals who encountered the boar reportedly climbed onto their desks to get away.
No KDI employees were found to be injured by the boar. The boar was believed to have moved near Goehwasan in Bangok-dong.
At about 7:14 a.m., the boar was also spotted near an apartment complex in Boram-dong. Authorities received a report that two boars were roaming around. At about 8:10 a.m., boars also appeared in Sodam-dong and Jiphyeon-dong.
Authorities responded to the report and launched a capture operation. Sejong City sent a disaster safety text message urging residents to keep the elderly and children away.
