Weekday lodging fees at national natural recreation forests will be discounted 10% from April through June. At nine national forest welfare facilities, including the National Forest Healing Center and the Forest Education and Culture Center, families of two or more will receive a 30% weekday discount and a 10% weekend discount on usage fees from Apr. 20 to May 31.
The Korea Forest Service said on the 14th that it will offer discounts so people can enjoy forest welfare facilities nationwide in the spring with less burden.
As part of the "national travel vitality to revive local areas" project, the Korea Forest Service is offering discounted fees for using forest welfare facilities.
In addition, presenting a receipt showing spending of 50,000 won or more at restaurants and traditional markets in areas where forest welfare facilities are located will also earn a 10% discount on lodging fees.
Cho Young-hee, director general of forest welfare at the Korea Forest Service, said, "We hope forest welfare facilities will inject vitality into local economies and provide people with healthy rest and healing time."
