On the 10th, Minister Hwang Jong-u of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries checked the readiness of Korean-flagged ships in the Strait of Hormuz to transit.
At the inspection that day, the Minister heard information on each shipping company's own transit plans in preparation. There are currently 26 Korean-flagged ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF), most of the ships have completed pre-departure preparations such as equipment checks and resupply for full-scale operations. It plans to support them so they can pass through the Strait of Hormuz quickly and safely.
The Minister said, "The safe and swift transit of our ships in the Strait of Hormuz is the most urgent task," and noted, "Given the uncertainties surrounding passage through the strait, we must also attend closely to the safety of crews and vessels."
