Comedian Lee Jin-ho collapsed from a cerebral hemorrhage and is receiving treatment.
Lee Jin-ho's agency SM C&C said on the 9th, "Lee Jin-ho was hospitalized on the afternoon of the 1st due to a sudden cerebral hemorrhage," adding, "He is currently regaining consciousness and focusing on treatment."
Lee Jin-ho is not in a life-threatening condition, but he is reportedly being treated in an intensive care unit.
SM C&C said, "As the artist's health recovery is the top priority, we ask for your warm support so that he can devote himself to a healthy recovery."
Lee Jin-ho debuted in 2005 as an SBS special-recruit comedian and gained recognition by appearing on "People Searching for Laughter." He later was active on tvN's "Comedy Big League" and JTBC's "Knowing Bros."
However, as allegations of illegal online gambling emerged, he halted all activities. After completing its investigation, the police sent Lee Jin-ho to the prosecution without detention. In Sept. last year, he also sparked controversy again by driving under the influence for a distance of nearly 100 kilometers while intoxicated.
