A wolf that escaped from the Daejeon O-World zoo in Sajung-dong, Jung-gu, Daejeon, was found in downtown Daejeon. Police and fire authorities are searching for the wolf together and urged citizens to use caution.
According to Daejeon City and the Daejeon Fire Headquarters on the 8th, at about 9:30 a.m. that day, one wolf escaped from the Daejeon O-World wolf safari.
Police and fire authorities received the first report at about 10:10 a.m., and at about 10:24 a.m. deployed about 10 rescuers to search inside Daejeon O-World. They had judged that the wolf likely had not left the zoo.
However, as a result of the search, it was determined that the wolf went outside O-World at about 11:30 a.m. Accordingly, the search command post was moved from O-World to Sanseong Elementary School, and the track is continuing.
Through an emergency text message, Daejeon City said, "It has been confirmed that the wolf that escaped from O-World went toward the O-World four-way intersection," and added, "Residents nearby, please be mindful of safety."
